Pujari,
Shri Guru Dattatraya Shani Maharaj Mandir,
Dhaula Bhata, Ajmer
About the Aarti
Chanting this aarti regularly, eliminates  the unhappiness in one’s life. It also removes the Manglik Dosh, Kaal Sarp Dosh, Pitra Dosh from your life.
This aarti is being chanted from ages in Kumbh(all the four Kumbh) by the Das naam Akhade. The Saints that take part in the Shahi Snan at Kumbh also chant this aarti regularly.

The Art of Performing the Aarti
You can chant the aarti anytime once throughout the day according to your time. Try to perform the aarti  at  the same times everydayThe aarti should be chanted softly and ensure the volume is at appropriate level, i.e. words are heard by you, and not disturbing people around you. The vibrations of the aarti would be felt as a positive aura in and around your body
You should never shout and sing the aarti loudly. It feels unpleasant to anyone if you cry loudly with their name. You are asking for help from Lord. If someone asks for help from you yelling your name, will you help the person even if you wish so?

Story behind Lord Guru Dattatraya(Guru Dattatraya ji ka charitra)

The idol of Lord Guru Dattatraya ji possesses three faces, six hands, two legs on a single body.
Remembering Lord Dattatraya ji and his mother Anusuya mata, study the following charitra.

Mata Anusuya’s devotion was the strongest in this world. Then one day, Sage Naarad told Wives of the three great lords- Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Maheshwara. He said that even when you three are the prominent goddess of the world, a Sage Ati’s Wife Mata Anusuya has more eminence than you.
By listening the words of the sage Narad, the three great goddesses Ma Lakshmi, Ma Parvati, Ma Saraswati wondered, "Even with the presence of god and goddesses, a brahmin wife was more venerated, something that had never happened earlier. After listening to Sage Naarad, the goddeses told to their respective husbands to take a test for her divinity for Mata Anusuya to have a confirmation that she is more divine(devoted) than us.
Then Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Maheshwara arrived at the doorsteps of Mata Anusuya in an afternoon to test her divinity. At that time, Muni Ati, Mata Anusuya’s husband was not present at the home. The three Lords changed their look as sage(Bhikshuk) and reached the Ashram of Mata Anusuya. The three lords in the outlook of a bhikshuk asked Mata Anusuya, "O Mother, Please feed us food according to our wishes.” Responding to their words, Mata Anusuya was filled with pride as she was being summoned upon as a mother. Mata Anusuya replied “ You have called me as a mother, I ll do my duties as mother If you say me mother, I shall definately fulfill your wish of feeding food.”  After taking this oath from Mata Anusuya, the three lords said “please feed us without clothes with your hands. This will fulfill our wish.” Mata Anusuya replied that since you have accepted me as your mother, therefore fulfilling your wishes is my duty(dharmkartavya). The vessel in which Mata Anusuya prepared dough, she threw the water from the same vessel towards the three Bhikshuks. With the affect of Mata Anusuya’s Sati Tap(divinity),the three Bhikshuks were converted into three small babies. Mata Anusuya bought three cots, and made the three babies sleep in their respective cots. Then she prepared and feed the food without clothes to the three babies. The three Lords were thinking what they had come for and what had happened. Everybody has to bow down in front of their deeds and situationAti Muni returned to their Ashram and saw the three babies in their cot. He thought that we don’t have any children and asked her wife “ From where did these three babies came to our Ashram we both are busy in our devotion duties(bhakti), how will we take care of them or look after them”.  Mata Anusuya replied “ If we will take their care, then only they will take our care when we grow old.”

When the three lords did not return to  their home, their wives got worried. They went to Sage Naarad to know where their husbands are. Sage  Naarad told them that “Their husbands have been converted into Mata Anusuya’s children. Their husbands are staying at Mata Anusuya’s ashram and are very happy. “ Ma Lakshmi, Ma vaishno and ma paarvati alongwith sage naarad left for Mata Anusuya’s ashram at that moment itself. They pleadged to Muni Ati to return their husbands.

They pleadged in front of Muni Ati to help them find their husbands and give them back. Muni Ati did not understood and called his wife and asked her that where are their husbands? We have only three children and they are too young to be their husbands. The three goddesses had mistaken due to their pride that they asked from Muni Ati instead of Mata Anusuya. If they had asked from Mata Anusuya, then they could of got rid of their pride ahankaar”. Mata Anusuya asked the three Goddesses from where have they come from. After some pleading by the three goddesses , Mata Anusuya said them to identify their husbands and take them along with them. The three goddesses could not understand how could they identify their husbands from the children. They then requested Mata Anusuya to convert their husbands in the way they had entered your Ashram, which would be of great help. Then Mata Anusuya with her divine powers (tap) gave back the original look to the three children. The three lords after returning to their look, said to each other that Mata Anusuya had cared for them as their real child. She was appreciable at duties of being  a mother.  A mother gives up all her desires to care for their children. Mata Anusuya and Muni Ati were delighted by seeing the three lords and three goddesses at their Ashram.  Sage Naarad enjoyed the reunion of the devotee and their lord. They said to Mata Anusuya that they had been graced upon by becoming her children and have been blessed by your motherly love. And will be obliged to serve her for lifetime with pleasure. Mata Anusuya felt honoured thinking that she had served the children who were the Great Lord Vishnu, Lord Maheshwara and Lord Brahma at one time. Mata Anusuya said that if they were eager to serve her, then all should ensure their presence at her service. The three Lords then took an oath that they would be available for her at all times whether during day or night. Mata Anusuya said the world would know you by the Name of Dattatraya.

Any devotee who would remember the three Lords as  Dattatraya, and serve them shall receive the rewards at earliest.Whoever studies this lesson of Mata Anusuya and Shri Guru Dattatraya ji, they will definitely gain divine pleasure and peace.  One should study the lesson with all their conscious and having faith in them, to gain fast results.
